Mundelein woman struck, killed by car
A 46-year-old Mundelein woman died late Friday after being struck by a car as she crossed Route 45 just north of Route 83.
About 10 p.m., Mundelein paramedics took Brigitte Terzian to Condell Medical Center in Libertyville where she was pronounced dead around 10:40 p.m., Lake County Coroner Dr. Richard Keller said.
The 1999 Chevy Cavalier that struck her was traveling north on Route 45. The driver -- Timothy Elsasser, 44, of 575 Berry Ave., Grayslake -- has not been cited or charged, Mundelein police said late Saturday.
An autopsy Saturday determined that Terzian died of multiple trauma wounds. Toxicology report results are due back on Monday, Keller said.
Police and the county's Major Crash Assistance Team are investigating the crash.
