Variety of home styles in Buffalo Grove locale

Waterbury Place in Buffalo Grove offers a variety of housing styles by Edward R. James Homes.

Edward R. James Homes announces a selection of homes is available for early delivery at Waterbury Place, a 31-acre development in Northwest-suburban Buffalo Grove.

Located at Route 22 and Waterbury Lane, Waterbury Place includes single-family homes, duplexes, townhouses and row houses, surrounded by ponds with fountains and landscaped parks. The quick-delivery homes have two to four bedrooms, two or 2½ baths and an attached two-car garage. They range in size from 1,578 to 3,793 square feet and are priced from the $360,000s to mid $800,000s.

"Buyers love the fact that they can move into a new home within eight weeks," says Jeanne Martini, director of sales and marketing for Edward R. James Homes. "Plus, we are offering special incentives on the price of the homes."

One townhouse available for quick move-in is the Chatfield, a 1,745-square-foot tri-level home base-priced from $364,900. It has two bedrooms, 2½ baths and, like all townhouses in the community, a finished lower level with a family room.

"The finished lower level gives a lot of flexibility to homeowners whose needs may change over time," says Martini. "The family room can be turned into an office, a playroom for younger children or a game room for older kids."

The Chatfield's main living level includes a dining room and a living room that are separated from an eat-in kitchen by an island. A deck spans nearly the width of the home and is accessed via sliding doors in the kitchen.

Choose from several other early-delivery row houses available at Waterbury Place, including the Fairmont, a 1,578-square-foot home with two bedrooms plus loft, 2½ baths and a partial basement. It is priced from the $390,000's.

Martini says the Fairmont is an excellent choice for those who want features usually found in a single-family home, such as separate living, family and dining rooms on the first floor. Additionally, the Fairmont includes a full laundry room.

"Since the laundry room is between the kitchen and the attached two-can garage, like in a detached home, it does double duty as a mud room," she notes.

The quick-delivery homes, Martini homes are designed by a professional design consultant at the Edward R. James Design Center and are customized with distinctive interior finishes, from upgraded counters and floors to custom wall color and luxury bath fixtures.

Additionally, homes at Waterbury Place come standard with features such as hardwood floors in select areas; wood cabinets available in maple, oak, or pine with 42-inch uppers; granite counters; stainless steel appliances; and lever satin nickel hardware.

Martini noted that the homes at Waterbury Place are surrounded by landscaping, which is a trademark of Edward R. James Homes. The landscaping features four ponds, more than 50 species of trees and a variety of other plants anchored by the community's park.

As a maintenance-free community, Waterbury Place provides exterior maintenance including snow removal, landscaping, exterior painting and a sprinkler system.

To visit Waterbury Place, take I-294 and exit at Half Day Road. Drive west four miles. The sales center is at 2447 Waterbury Lane. It is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. For more information on Waterbury Place, call (847) 955-1213 or visit www.thewaterburyplace.com.
