Only 22 homes left in new Elgin community

Time is running out to own a new home at Shadow Hill in Elgin, where 22 of the original 256 single-family home sites remain for sale at the Ryland Homes' community.

"Shadow Hill has been well received since opening a little more than two years ago," says Robert Meyn, vice president of sales and marketing for Ryland Homes. "We have 10 homes remaining in our Hartford Series and 12 Executive Series sites backing to a conservation area."

Just west of Randall Road at the intersection of Nesler Road and South Street, Shadow Hill offers the 22 homes base-priced from $336,990 to $447,990 with 99 maintenance-free townhouses also available and priced from $234,990 to $257,990.

"The 12 sites in the Executive Series measure one-third- to a half-acre in size and include three-car side-load garages, full basements with 9-foot poured foundation walls and upscale interior features," Meyn says. "Buyers may also choose lookout and walkout basements."

One of the most popular plans in the Executive Series is the Pembrook II. Highlights of this 3,544-square-foot home include four bedrooms; 2½ to 3½ baths; and two-story foyer with set-back staircase.
