Fenton at Maine East
Nonconference
Game time: 7:30 p.m., today.
Last year: Fenton 48, Maine East 7.
Outlook: Last year's big season-opening win propelled the Bison to a 7-3 record -- its first seven-win campaign since 1993. Much of that team graduated, however, leaving a thinner group behind. This game in particular will be tough for the Bison due to injuries and other situations that will leave the team shorthanded. The line play should be fun to watch with four returning starters for Fenton. Guard Tashawn Webber is also a standout linebacker for the Bison. Junior Ricky Prignano takes over at quarterback and will lean on a pair of experienced receivers -- Brandon Moriarty and Darek Potuszynski -- in the passing game. Like past years, though, the Bison will primarily rely on the ground game. Maine East has lost 21 straight games, including twice to Fenton.
Next week: Glenbard South at Fenton; Round Lake at Maine East.
