Track tips for Thursday, Aug. 23

Seven really fast horses have been entered to contest Saturday's $150,000 Arlington Sprint Handicap, to be run over 6 furlongs of Polytrack. The 124-hightweight and 7-5 morning-line favorite is the Christophe Clement-trained In Summation, who was last seen taking down the Grade I Bing Crosby Handicap over the Del Mar carpet as an 8-1 upsetter. He will spot between 6 and 12 pounds to his six rivals.

The 3-1 second choice is the graded stakes placed Off Duty, who has won six of 12 starts, including the minor Bernhardt Stakes last out at Ellis Park. He has never run on Polytrack. The top three finishers from Arlington's Better Bee Stakes -- City Number, Star by Design and High Expectations -- are also entered in the Arlington Sprint. Buddy Got Even, who won the Timeless Native Stakes earlier in the meet, and the up-and-coming sophomore Piratesonthelake, round out the field.
