Microsoft awards area IT firm

OAK BROOK -- Microsoft Corp. announced that Oak Brook-based SWC Technology Partners, a provider of information technology solutions to small and medium-size businesses, won the annual Microsoft Loyalty Award for the central region. The award was presented at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference held in Denver. Founded in 1980, SWC Technology Partners has built a reputation delivering IT solutions focused on the unique challenges facing small and mid-size companies.

Airport deploys safety program

OAK BROOK -- Federal Signal Corp., a company that advances security and well-being, announced that Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has completed the deployment of the FS Codespear interoperable industry platform to enhance airport public safety, security and emergency communication. It's also developing a new application that sets a new standard in achieving regulatory compliance and electronic execution of response plans and mutual aid requests.
