Man charged with criminal sex abuse

A Des Plaines man is being held on $90,000 bond after police say he put his cell phone camera under a 17-year-old girl's skirt at a Rolling Meadows store.

Gustavo Vazquez, 33, of 418 Fifth Court, Apt. E, is charged with one count of criminal sexual abuse and one count of unauthorized videotaping, both felonies, Rolling Meadows police said Friday.

Police said the girl's mother saw Vazquez bump her daughter and put his cell phone camera under her skirt at the Rolling Meadows Wal-Mart on Golf Road last week.

The mother confronted Vazquez and chased him out of the store, police said.

The mother took down the vehicle information and license plate, leading police to Vazquez, police said.

He is being held on bond in Cook County Jail.
