Price tag at Trump Tower Chicago surprises some
Because the Trump name is synonymous with multimillion dollar properties throughout the world, many buyers are surprised to learn they can get into the Trump International Hotel and Tower, Chicago for under $600,000.
Located on the Chicago River, between Michigan and Wabash Avenues, Trump Tower includes 472 luxury condominiums with studios to four-bedroom penthouse suites, and 286 hotel condominiums offering full access to an array of hotel services and amenities. The Chicago office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill is the architect.
"We were so successful when sales began that people think we're sold out," said Leah Harriett, sales manager for Trump International Hotel and Tower, Chicago. "They are pleasantly surprised when we tell them we have a number of homes at a variety of prices."
Homes that fall under the $600,000 price range are the studio residences, which range in size from 580 to 713 square feet and are base-priced from approximately $580,000. They offer a grand foyer that opens to a city view, living area and extra storage space. The studios also include a full master bath with limestone floors and walls, Kohler fixtures and a soaking tub.
"The studios offer some of the most spectacular views of the city skyline, Chicago River and Lake Michigan," said Harriett. "They have been very popular with professionals who work in Chicago but live elsewhere, and couples who want to own an in-town residence for when they're in the city on weekends."
Other residences at Trump Tower include one-bedroom residences ranging from 919 to 1,314 square feet, and base-priced from approximately $978,000. Two-bedroom condominiums ranging in size from 1,562 to 2,076 square-feet are base-priced from approximately $1.4 million. The residences are available from floors 29 through 87, according to Harriett.
The building will feature full access to five-star luxury hotel services, including a 24-hour doorman, concierge, a world class Trump Spa and Health Club, in-home dining and catering services, and a 1.2 acre, three-level Riverwalk Park and a residents-only dog run.
Following the hotel's opening in December of 2007, the residences will he available for occupancy in early 2008 through 2009.
