Play a round of golf to help Dist. 220 Educational Foundation
Members of the Barrington Area Unit District 220 Educational Foundation are getting ready to tee off.
The Educational Foundation, a nonprofit organization of volunteers who develop private funding for learning initiatives in the school district, is hosting its fourth Annual Golf Outing & Dinner on Sept. 21 at Barrington's Makray Memorial Golf Club.
All proceeds from the event will support the Foundation's initiative to renovate outdated middle school Applied Technology Education Labs.
The new Applied Technology curriculum will provide students with interactive learning and hands-on problem-solving experiences in math, science and technology.
The golf outing includes green fees and carts, lunch, a cocktail reception and awards dinner. The cost is $250 per player.
Non-players are invited to enjoy post-golf cocktails, dinner, live music by Way Past Curfew and an auction.
Cocktails are at 5:30 p.m., with the awards dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $55 for each guest.
Barrington High School's boys and girls varsity golf teams will participate in the event.
