Children's court advocate program seeks volunteers
CASA Kane County will be hold informational meetings for anyone interested in becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteer, helping abused and neglected children.
CASA Kane County has been advocating for the best interests of abused and neglected children since 1988. Last year, 200 CASA volunteers served 467 children, half of whom were Aurora residents.
Information sessions will be held at the Provena Mercy Medical Center Health Institute, 1975 Melissa Lane in Aurora.
Meetings will take place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Sept. 6, and from noon to 1 p.m. Aug. 28 and Sept. 11.
