Briefs: Syclo delivers array of mobile solutions

HOFFMAN ESTATES -- Syclo, a developer of mobile computing solutions, announced that benefits of the recently released IBM Maximo for Oil and Gas version 6.3 product are available to technicians in the field via the Maximo Mobile SE (Syclo Edition) product line. Syclo's mobile products are currently being used by more than 40 oil and gas companies worldwide. The technology improves technician productivity and increases asset touches that keep equipment in production. New solutions are also helping energy companies speed refinery turnarounds.

United Stationers ups stock program

DEERFIELD -- United Stationers Inc. announced that its board of directors approved an expanded stock repurchase program authorizing the purchase of an additional $200 million of the company's common stock. This is in addition to the $100 million authorized in May. United has about $32 million remaining under this previous authorization.
