Briefs: Baxter awarded pandemic contract

DEERFIELD -- Baxter International Inc. announced that Baxter's European subsidiary in the United Kingdom has entered into an advanced supply agreement with the Department of Health that contains an option to purchase pandemic influenza vaccine in the event the World Health Organization declares a pandemic. Baxter will manufacture its pandemic vaccine in a serum-free, cell-based system at one of the largest cell culture vaccine facilities in the world.

Industrial park projects progress

LAKE ZURICH -- Several buildings are in the advanced planning stages or under construction in Lake Zurich's industrial park. They include: 34,000-square-foot Geo Partners, a multi-tenant building at 1320 Ensell Road that includes Alpine Automotive; a 30,502-square-foot multi-tenant building on lot four along Ensell Road; a 31,600-square-foot addition to SIV Corp. at 1221 Flex Court; and a 29,915-square-foot addition to the Illinois Masonry building at 200 Telser Road.
