St. John's to offer before, after school care to students

St. John's Lutheran School has created a Before and After School Services Program that will open its doors beginning Aug. 28.

St. John's B.A.S.S. Program offers supervised activities including homework/quiet time, indoor and outdoor recreation activities, arts and crafts, Bible stories and studies, games, music and more.

The Before School Program runs from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and the After School Program runs from 3:30 to 6 p.m. on regular school days during the school year.

As the program is administered by St. John's Lutheran School, only students enrolled in St. John's Day School (K-8) are eligible for this service.

To register in St. John's Kindergarten through Eighth Grade Accredited, Christ Centered Program or for more information about the new Before and After School Services Program, contact St. John's school office at (847) 658-9311 or e-mail stjohns@covad.net. Registration for both programs continues through Aug. 28.

St. John's Ev. Lutheran School is at 300 Jefferson St. in downtown Algonquin next to Towne Park, one block west of Route 31.
