ECC student services available Saturdays

Most student services at Elgin Community College will be open Saturday for the convenience of students unable to come to the main campus at other times.

Registration, admissions, counseling, financial aid, student accounts, the bookstore and records offices will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The testing center, for those sitting for ECC placement exams, will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Registration and most other student services offices are on the first floor of the Student Resource Center on ECC's main campus, 1700 Spartan Drive, Elgin.

Regular registration hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays.

Students may register for any course as long as its prerequisites or placement procedures are met and space for effective instruction is available.

Students will be expected to provide proof of having met course prerequisites if documentation is not already on file with the ECC records office. Students with outstanding financial obligations to the college may not be able to register until all bills are settled.

Fall 16-week daytime and evening classes start Aug. 20; 12-week classes start Sept. 17; and eight-week classes begin Oct. 15.
