Briefs: Last Fling tickets on sale

Last Fling tickets to main stage performances of Cheap Trick, the BoDeans and Colin Hay of Men at Work will be available at several Naperville businesses starting Saturday. Sponsored by the Naperville Jaycees, the festival runs from Aug. 31 through Sept. 3 in downtown. Tickets for main stage performances are $7 for Friday night, and $12 for Saturday and Sunday. Tickets will be on sale through Labor Day weekend during normal business hours at Dean's Clothing, 226 Main St.; Oswald's Pharmacy, 88 Gartner Road in the Naperville Plaza Shopping Center; Holistic Chiropractic & Healing Arts Center, 1620 Pebblewood Lane, Suite 112, west of Route 59 and south of Diehl Road; and John Greene, Realtor, 7 E. Fast Feet fitness tonight:

Team in Training will hold its Fast Feet Family Fitness Night as a fundraiser to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society beginning with registration at 5 :30 p.m. today at the Glenbard South High School track, 23W200 Butterfield Road, Glen Ellyn. Races begin at 6:30 p.m. and participants can compete in age-group races, other track activities and family relays. The fee is $10 per child, $5 per adult with a $30 maximum per family. Tennis champs take crown:

Patrick Dedoyard and Randy Miller emerged Sunday as champions in the competitive division of Naperville Park District's 10th annual Adult Tennis Tournament at Knoch Park. Forty players, all of whom were involved in the district's summer tennis lessons program, participated in a round-robin doubles format with two divisions: competitive and advanced beginner/intermediate. In addition to Dedoyard and Miller, finalists in the competitive division were Gerry Engardio and Mike Reichardt. In the intermediate division, the champions were Bill Kolb and George Teng and the finalists were Scott Brown & Chris Wichmann.

Aurora library closings:

All Aurora Public Library locations will be closed Aug. 24 for the annual staff development day. Regular hours will resume at 9 a.m. Aug. 25. For details, call the reference desk at (630) 264-4101.
