Bulls games worth watching in 2007-08

The list

Ten Bulls games worth watching in 2007-08:

1. Oct. 31 at New Jersey

The season opener is a return to the scene of a frustrating loss. When the Bulls were beaten by the Nets 106-97 on the final day of the 2006-07 regular season, they dropped from the No. 2 playoff seed in the East to fifth.

2. Nov. 2 vs. Philadelphia

The home opener at the United Center will be hyped as Joe Smith's first look at his old team. Or maybe not.

3. Nov. 8 vs. Detroit

Early last season, the Bulls blasted Miami, the team that knocked them out of the playoffs the year before. The Bulls get a chance to pay back the Pistons on TNT.

4. Dec. 8 vs. Boston

This will be the Bulls' first look at Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce together with the Celtics. Don't be surprised, though, if ex-Bull Andre Barrett is playing point guard for Boston by then.

5. Jan. 3 vs. Portland

Greg Oden loved playing at the United Center during the Big Ten tournament. He returns with the Trail Blazers on this night.

6. Jan. 27 vs. Phoenix

The Bulls have suffered heartbreaking losses the last two times the Suns played in Chicago. This one is scheduled for Sunday afternoon on ABC.

7. Feb. 14 vs. Miami

Dwyane Wade, Shaquille O'Neal and the Heat make just one trip to the United Center ... and this is it.

8. March 6 vs. Cleveland

This game should kick off an interesting weekend if the Bulls are vying for one of the top spots in the Eastern Conference. They play at Boston the following night, then visit Detroit two days later.

9. March 20 vs. San Antonio

For those who swear the Bulls would have fared better against the Spurs than Cleveland did in the NBA Finals, here is a look at the mythical matchup.

10. April 11 vs. Cleveland

The Bulls and Cavaliers will face off three times in the final 22 games of the season. The Bulls will have three dates left on the schedule once this one ends.
