Disgraceful behavior has him disgusted

I find it immensely disgraceful that my country unilaterally rushed into a first strike invasion and subsequent occupation of the sovereign nation of Iraq, which had no involvement in the 9/11 attack, no connection with al-Qaida, no weapons of mass destruction, and posed little or no threat to our national security.

Amid all the carnage, death, destruction and devastated families from the past 4ˆ¨ years in Iraq, just imagine if the Bush administration had stayed the course in Afghanistan, hunting down and killing Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaida terrorists along the Afghan/Pakistan border -- also destroying the al-Qaida network and training bases in that region.

Instead, the Bush administration turned almost its full attention to the non-issue of Iraq -- the result of which has proved to be, on all fronts, disastrous to America and Iraq, and a boon to the worldwide spread of terrorism.

And shame on all those representatives and senators who did not dig deep enough before voting to allow our country's entrance into an unnecessary war, and giving the Bush administration the go-ahead to execute its pre-planned war against Iraq.
