The Revere Group acquires Tryarc

Chicago-based technology consulting firm The Revere Group said Thursday it acquired Tryarc LLC, an information technology consulting firm with such clients as NBC Universal, Sony Pictures, Screen Actors Guild, Ticketmaster and Toyota.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it marks the latest step in Revere's expansion into the western United States to serve fast-growing and middle-tier global companies as well as Japanese multi-national corporations there, said Revere spokeswoman Michelle Meek.

"Over the next five years, Revere's strategic business plan includes a combination of organic and acquisition growth to propel the company's western region to approximately $125 million annually," Meek said.

Founded in 1992, Revere is actively pursuing additional acquisitions in the West Coast states.

"We are now positioned to offer our clients expanded services such as business continuity planning, organizational change management, managed hosting and operational information technology services," Tryarc founder Trevor Bezdek said in a statement.

Revere, with 450 workers, will add Tryarc's 100 workers. No layoffs are planned.

The combined companies will have headquarters at Revere's downtown Chicago office, Meek said.
