Thanks for help in beautification effort

Everyone who enjoys the beauty of downtown Geneva, with vivid blossoms and lush greenery at corners throughout the shopping district, can thank the generous support of local businesses and all the volunteers who give their time and talent.

The Geneva Beautification Committee gives special recognition to Ball Horticultural for its generous contribution of flowering plant material to help support the Geneva Beautification efforts.

The Natural Garden, Inc., The Pure Gardener, We Grow Dreams Greenhouse & Garden Center and Wasco Nursery also supplied flowering plants and foliage for the gardens. Banner Up Signs produced the garden signs, Ace Hardware of Geneva supplied gardening materials and Flamingo Design created graphic designs for the committee.

Special thanks are extended to the city of Geneva and the Public Works Department for their year-round assistance with Geneva Beautification.

Please patronize these generous businesses and thank them for their support.

The backbone of the beautification effort is the many volunteers who give time and talents to plant and tend the gardens from early spring through the first snowfall.

The volunteer group is made up of individual residents, businesses, local organizations, and families who have all made the choice to give back to their community through helping to beautify Geneva. We give them a big thank you!

The Geneva Beautification Committee is an all-volunteer group of residents and businesses that plants and maintains over 50 gardens in the historic business district of Geneva. The group relies on those businesses and volunteers for the majority of the plant material, supplies and volunteer manpower.

A portion of the plants and supplies still need to be purchased so we gratefully accept donations from everyone who enjoys the floral beauty and encourage you to become involved. Visit our Web site, www.plantgeneva.org, to find out more about what you can do to help.
