Abbott's entry-level jobs one of the best

LIBERTYVILLE TOWNSHIP -- Abbott Laboratories has been named one of the best companies for college graduates to launch their careers by The Princeton Review in its 2008 edition. Abbott offers more than 250 internships each year, and more than 40 percent of eligible interns are hired as full-time Abbott employees. Published since 2003, "Best Entry-Level Jobs" identifies great workplaces for new graduates. For the 2008 edition, The Princeton Review interviewed entry-level employees and employers from 114 companies or organizations.

Local graphics firm wins notable award

ELK GROVE VILLAGE -- Elk Grove Graphics was recently awarded a Benny, the highest honor in the 2007 Premier Print Awards, for its entry Access Communications Newsletter. In its 85th year, the annual graphic arts industry's worldwide printing competition recognizes outstanding achievement in print production. This year, more than 5,100 entries were received from printing and graphics arts firms from around the world.
