Batavia
•Andrew Fuhrmann, 39, of 1438 S. 6th St., St. Charles, was charged with DUI, reckless driving, two counts of disobeying a traffic control device, fleeing and eluding police, no insurance and expired registration after an incident at 10:13 p.m. July 23 on the 300 block Route 31, according to a police report. Fuhrmann was attempting to flee from a police car when he ran his car into a tree. He got out of his car and ran, falling and rolling off a 15- to 20-foot retaining wall. He was taken to Delnor-Community Hospital and released the same day, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Geneva
•A $350 GPS receiver was stolen between 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday from a car in the 3200 block of Fieldstone Drive, according to police reports.
•A black utility trailer valued at $500 was stolen between noon July 21 and 6 p.m. Wednesday from the 800 block of James Street, reports said.
•Obscenities were spray- painted on an exterior wall at Bed, Bath and Beyond, 1584 S. Randall Road, between 5 p.m. July 23 and 8:30 a.m. July 27, causing an undetermined amount of damage, reports said.
St. Charles
•Michael T. Kappele, 19, of 42W453 Burlington Road, Elgin, was arrested at 1:04 a.m. Sunday and charged with parking on a roadway, marijuana possession and drug equipment possession on the 200 block of North 15th Street, police said. Also arrested on charges of underage drinking were passengers Brad R. Winterberger, 19, of 4W538 Hunters Hill Drive, St. Charles, and Vance Conroyd, 19, of 6N311 Route 31, St. Charles. Kappele was released on $1,000 bond with an Aug. 16 court date. Winterberger and Conroyd were released on their own recognizance.
•Stuart T. Schieve, 27, of 650 W. Forrest Ave. No. 311, West Chicago, and Brian D. Santiago, 28, of 411 Main St., West Chicago, were arrested at 9:08 p.m. Saturday and charged with disorderly conduct at Charlestowne Mall, 3800 E. Main St., police said. Schieve and Santiago are accused of taking liquor into the mall movie theater and becoming intoxicated.
•Olivia C. Laster, 17, of 260 Westhavenn Circle, Geneva, and Anna M. Cairo, 17, of 241 Wakefield Lane, Geneva, were arrested at 5:54 p.m. July 20 and charged with retail theft after stealing $188 in clothes from Von Maur, 3810 E. Main St., police said.
•Robert J. Alder, 22, of 1115 S. 11th Ave., was arrested at 10:43 p.m. Friday and charged with disorderly conduct on the 900 block of Madison Avenue, police said. Alder is accused of trying to enter a house that wasn't his while he was drunk.
•Police discovered six unlocked doors at 4:44 a.m. Saturday at Wredling Middle School, 1200 Dunham Road.
•Scratches caused $300 in damage to a car at Charlestowne Mall, 3800 E. Main St., between 5:30 and 8:12 p.m. Friday.
•A mailbox valued at $120 was damaged late Thursday or early Friday on the 1900 block of Pleasant Avenue.
•Theft of $10 in fuel was reported at 3:18 p.m. Friday at Citgo, 307 W. Main St.
•Graffiti damaged a building on the 400 block of West Main Street between July 24 and Friday.
•A driver's license and a black leather purse valued at $60 total were stolen between July 23 and Thursday from a vehicle on the 1700 block of Ronzheimer Avenue.
•An estimated $200 in damage to a chain-link fence was reported Thursday at 3415 Ohio Ave.
•A mailbox valued at $100 was damaged early Thursday on the 1600 block of Riverside Avenue.
•A black 2007 Road King motorcycle was reported stolen Thursday from Zylstra Harley-Davidson, 131 S. Randall Road.
