ELGIN -- WideSpark Design, an Elgin-based marketing communications firm, is holding its annual Marketing Makeover to benefit a non-profit organization on August 18. The goal of this year's makeover, which lasts eight hours, is to design integrated marketing communications, including a new logo, web site and mission brochure, for the Elgin-based Community Crisis Center. The Community Crisis Center's mission is to advocate for a healthy, non-violent environment for all people by providing information, resources and support.
U.S. Marine Corps order more MRAPs
WARRENVILLE -- Navistar International Corp. recently said its military subsidiary, International Military and Government LLC, has received an order from the U.S. Marine Corps for 755 additional Category I Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles, valued at approximately $414 million, to be delivered by the end of February 2008. This brings International's total orders to 1,971 MRAP's, totaling over $1.045 billion.
