If you try to get through the intersection of Lake-Cook and Arlington Heights roads in Buffalo Grove, you realize quickly (no, make that agonizingly slowly) that there's no escaping the construction.

It's on the north, west, south and east sides of the intersection. What kind of planning is that? And unfortunately, this isn't the only intersection like that these days.
