Sugar Grove makes pot bust

Sugar Grove Police and the Fox Valley Gang Task Force seized more than 200 grams of cannabis Thursday night after raiding a Sugar Grove home. Police arrested Luis A. Parra, 19, of the 500 block of North Ave. in Aurora during the raid of 937 Merrill New Road in Grove. Parra was wanted on an outstanding contempt of court warrant. Parra was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis, a Class 4 felony, and unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, a Class 3 felony. Police turned Parra over to Kane County Corrections for a bond hearing Friday. Bail on the contempt warrant is $100,000.
