Council of Carpenters moving into bigger home
The Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters July 1st expanded its operations into a new building.
The company purchased a 83,228-square-foot warehouse building at 1099 Estes Ave. in Elk Grove Village for $4.23 million.
It features 15,990-square-feet of office space, seven interior loading docks, and a drive-in door.
The new building is located directly across the street from the company's original location, at 1256 Estes Ave., where operations will be maintained.
NAI Hiffman represented the seller, Estes SRG LLC, and Real Estate Research Corp. represented the buyer.
Going fast:Ã…'Last Tuesday witnessed a groundbreaking event at 2323 Naperville Road in Naperville called the Danada Professional Center.
The two-story office condominium building will hold 44,000 square feet of space for purchase, offering various sized suites.
Over half of the building already has pending owners, said Suzanne Kerr of Real Estate Consultants, Inc.
The firm is representing the developer and owner of the building, Arizona-based real estate development firm Grace Communities.
The development cost is estimated at approximately $200 per square foot.
Closings are set to begin by late December or early January, with move-ins beginning in March of 2008.
Licensed to grow:Ã…'Gierum and Mantas, Attorneys at Law, have recently relocated their offices to the Orchard Point Office Center at 9700 West Higgins Road in Rosemont.
The law firm has signed a 6-year lease for the 5,000-square foot location.
"We're very happy with the deal in light of the fact that we're a class A building and on the 10th floor," said partner Bill Mantas.
The new offices offer 2,200 more square feet of space than the growing practice's previous location at 1030 West Higgins Road in Park Ridge.
U.S. Equities Realty represented the building, while Bill Mantas represented the tenant.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Omega Aquatics, an engineering firm for aquatic equipment, has leased 5,200 square feet of industrial space within 1544 Barclay Blvd, relocating and expanding from its Lake Zurich location.
Arthur J. Rogers and Co. represented Omega Aquatics and the lessor.
Prestige Portraits by Lifetouch, a portrait photography company, signed a new lease for 5,100 square feet of industrial space within 1547 Barclay Blvd.
Arthur J. Rogers and Co. represented the lessor, while Marc Realty represented the lessee.
