Carpentersville
An Aurora man has been accused of charging $115.81 to someone else's credit card, police said. Donald R. Johnson, 40, of 562 Hartford Road, was charged with unlawful use of a credit card, police said. Johnson remains in the Carpentersville lockup with a $3,000 bond and an Aug. 7 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
A Carpentersville man was arrested late Wednesday on two different warrants for failure to appear in court, police said. Denzel Bailey, 17, of 9 Oxford Road #17, was charged on the warrants with attempted obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct, police said. Bailey remained in the Carpentersville lockup Thursday with a $500 bond and an Aug. 1 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
East Dundee
A Marengo man has been accused of preventing a woman from getting out of her car on July 19 at a store on South Dundee Avenue, then pulling the hair of a small child who began yelling inside the car, police said. Shawn L. Conway, 31, of 429 S. State St., Marengo, was charged with unlawful restraint and three counts of domestic battery, police said. Conway was on probation for domestic battery at the time, the Kane County State's Attorney's Office said. He posted a $3,000 bond Thursday and was given an Aug. 8 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.

Police were sent to the 300 block of North Street at 12:30 a.m. Thursday where two people were arguing. One of them told police his name was Anthony Michaels. Anthony B. Singleton, 23, of 312 North St., Elgin, was charged with obstruction of justice when police learned his real name, police said. Singleton told police he gave a false name because he thought he might be wanted on a Kane County warrant.
A 1999 burgundy Chrysler was stolen between 4 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday from the 1000 block of Peachtree Lane.
An accounting check showed that $843 in cash, $59 in checks and $84 in credit card receipts were missing between 5 p.m. on Saturday and 6 a.m. on Monday from Greater Elgin Family Care Center, 370 Summit St.
South Elgin
A Bartlett man was arrested at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday after he made his second drug sale to an undercover narcotics officer, police said. In exchange for $100, the man sold officers 2.3 grams of cocaine on April 12, police said. The man sold arranged on Wednesday to sell 1.3 grams of cocaine for $150, police said. Howard S. Johnson, 55, of 539 Jones St., was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, police said. Johnson was unable to post $40,000 bond Thursday and was taken to the Kane County jail. His court date is Aug. 12 at the Kane County Judicial Center on.
