Meet Tyus:Å’Tired, what does that mean? Tyus loves everyone and is a believer that life is meant to run and play as long as felinely possible. Of course, in-between he doesn't mind some loving. He would definitely prefer a home with another playful cat otherwise life might turn out to be too boring for him. He is about 4 to 5 months old. There are also kittens galore of all ages at our adoption center. Adopt them in pairs.

These pets are also looking for a home.

•Elf is a 9-year old Yorkie, whose 80-year old guardian is no longer able to take of him. He used to live with a greyhound, loves walks, chewing on toys, sitting on laps and meeting other dogs.

•Excalibur is a 2-year-old handsome tan and black medium dog. He seems to get along well with dogs and while he is a little bit shy with people at first, he quickly warms up and then thinks he is a lap dog. He is looking for a foster home to finish his heartworm treatment and then adopt him.

Save-A-Pet is open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Adoption fees are $125 for a dog, $150 for a 6- to 12-month-old puppy, $200 for a puppy younger than 6 months, $125 for a kitten and $100 for a cat. All animals are neutered. Cats receive shots, a feline leukemia test and carrying case. Dogs receive shots, an ID tag, leash and collar.

Save-A-Pet now uses the identifying microchip on all dogs and cats entering the shelter.
