Police seeking donations for auction for Special Olympics

On Sept. 16, the South Elgin Police Department will hold a fundraiser dinner and auction with all of the proceeds going to the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics. The event will be held at the Manor Restaurant in South Elgin.

Last year, the department was able to raise $10,000, making it the 21st top fundraising police department in the state.

Donations are needed for the silent auction. Businesses or individuals interested in donating items can call Officer Jeffrey Cooper at (847) 888-0052 or e-mail jcooper@southelgin.com.
