An MP3 player, video MP3 player and FM transmitter were stolen from a 2005 Dodge Dakota pickup on the 800 block of Westbourne Lane overnight July 16-17. At the same time, a camera, three pairs of sunglasses and a watch were stolen from a 1996 Toyota Avalon on the same block. There was no sign of forced entry to either vehicle, police said. Total value of the losses is estimated at $1,230.
A wallet and video MP3 player were stolen from an unlocked 2002 Jeep SUV on the 300 block of Blue Ash Drive July 16, police said. Value was estimated at $510.
Wheeling
Vandals scratched a 2003 Ford Mustang July 14 or 15 in a visitors' lot at the Tahoe clubhouse, 1771 Tahoe Circle Drive, police said. Damage is estimated at $1,500.
A cell phone worth $100 was stolen July 15 from an employee at Greek American Nursing Home, 220 First St., who set it down on a table in the lounge, police said.
A rock was thrown through the rear window of a 1996 Buick on the 300 block of Inland Drive around 2:45 a.m. July 15. Damage was estimated at $500.
Vandals smashed the driver's-side front and rear windows and rear and cargo windows on a 1993 Ford Escort wagon July 14-15 on the 400 block of Inland Drive. Damage was estimated at $1,000.
Thieves stole a white 2004 Freightliner semi-tractor truck between noon July 14 and 1 p.m. July 15, from Systems II Transport, 1535 Abbott Drive. Windows on two other semi trucks in the lot were smashed, and both steering columns were peeled and the dashboards broken, but the thieves couldn't get those trucks started, police said.
