Passion of the Potter

Lake County libraries will celebrate the Saturday release of the final Harry Potter book.

Barrington Area Library, 505 N. Northwest Hwy., Barrington

•A Harry Potter prediction contest runs through today.

•An all-ages, Potter-themed costume party, 7 p.m. today.

•A "Magic for Muggles" program is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Cook Memorial Library, 413 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville

•Hogwarts Final Exam trivia contest, 2 p.m. Thursday

•Potter-themed sleepover, 10 p.m. today to 7 a.m. Saturday

Ela Area Public Library, 275 Mohawk Trail, Lake Zurich

•Read-a-thon, today

Fremont Public Library, 1170 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein

•"Predict the Unpredictable,"with trivia and other fun, 4 p.m. today

Round Lake Area Public Library, 906 Hart Road, Round Lake

•Kids can participate in a trivia contest and have fun with activity sheets throughout July.

Wauconda Area Library, 801 N. Main St.

•Character challenge, bookmark design contest and other activities are set to run through Saturday.
