New play to get a staged reading
A staged reading of "The Dog Park," a new play by Kevin Wiczer, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday in the Drama Lab Theatre in the Liberal Arts Building at Harper College, 1200 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine.
The show runs approximately two hours with an intermission. Admission is free. It is about a woman whose dream is to be with a man with no opinion, and what happens when she meets the man of her dreams.
BACOA Caregiver support group
The August meeting of the Barrington Area Council on Aging's Caregiver Support Group will be an open forum.
Caregivers who attend will have the chance to discuss information pertaining to their own situations.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 1 at the BACOA office in the Prairieview Building at The Garlands of Barrington, 6000 Garlands Lane, Suite 100, Barrington.
