I had a great time at the District 158 Foundation's golf tournament last year. Are they doing it again this year?

Yes, the foundation is holding its golf tournament next month at Pinecrest Golf Club. The foundation decided to hold the outing earlier this year -- before school starts -- so teachers and administrators in Huntley School District 158 could participate.

The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 15, with check-in starting at 8 a.m. Following the four-person scramble, there will be a luncheon.

The cost is $95 per golfer or $360 for a foursome, with all proceeds benefiting the students of District 158. The foundation, which helps enhance education for students in the district through grants, also is looking for hole sponsors and raffle prize donations.

To play, send your payment to the Education Foundation, P.O. Box 476, Huntley, IL 60142 by Aug. 6. Checks should be made payable to D158 Education Foundation.
