Alpine Festival

Three days of carnival rides, games, food, beer garden, family events and entertainment kick off today for the annual Lake Zurich Lions Club's Alpine Festival at Lions Park off Main Street in downtown Lake Zurich. The festival runs through Sunday.

TODAY

6 p.m. Park opens and rides begin, beer garden and Alpine Diner open.

6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Dinner Under the Lights, Family Tent

6 p.m. to 8 p.m. 39 and Holding, Big Top's Main Stage

8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Skip Towne & the Greyhounds, Big Top's Main Stage

10:30 p.m. All ticket sales end (unused tickets will be honored Saturday and Sunday).

11 p.m. Rides close; beer sales end for the evening.

Midnight Park closes.

SATURDAY

1 p.m. Park opens and rides begin, beer garden and Alpine Diner open.

1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. All you can ride carnival games

2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Magic Dave, Family Tent

1 p.m. to 4 p.m. 39 and Holding, Big Top's Main Stage

4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Pirates over 40 blues band, Big Top's Main Stage

3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Chuck Field, ventriloquist, Family Tent

5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Dinner Under the Lights, Family Tent

7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 39 and Holding, Big Top's Main Stage

8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Hit List rock and soul review, Big Top's Main Stage

10:30 p.m. All ticket sales end (unused tickets will be honored Sunday)

11 p.m. Rides close; beer sales end for the evening

Midnight Park closes.

SUNDAY

11:30 a.m. Alpine Festival parade, corner of Ela Road and Main Street

10:30 a.m. Park opens; Alpine Diner open, limited menu

1 p.m. Rides begin; beer garden and Alpine Diner open, full menu

1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. All you can ride carnival games

3 p.m. Awards ceremony for parade winners

2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Magic Dave, Family Tent

3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. 39 and Holding, Big Top's Main Stage

4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Chicago Rat Pack swing band, Big Top's Main Stage

3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mad Science, Family Tent

5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dinner Under the Lights, Family Tent

6 p.m. to 7 p.m. 39 and Holding, Big Top's Main Stage

7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Rockin' Fenderskirts, Memphis bop and 1960s rock band, Big Top's Main Stage

8:30 p.m. All ticket and beer sales end (no refunds on any tickets)

9 p.m. Rides close.

9:30 p.m. Park closes.
