What's your opinion of the police investigation?

"It seems that they probably are doing as much as they can do. It seems like they're at a dead end and possibly it won't get solved. That's unfortunate, but it just seems it's one of those cases where there are one or two people involved and they haven't said anything and they haven't told anybody, so there aren't any new leads. (They should) just keep the case open. Some cases are 10 to 12 years old and all of a sudden they get solved. Someone comes forward. There will be someone that'll just slip up, hopefully, and say something to someone and then they'll say something to the police."

"It's just pretty much the way everything goes. I mean, it's sad, but that's just the way that it is. They very rarely will find somebody that did (something like) that. I think it's unacceptable that they haven't found who did it, but I don't think they will. I know that they keep a lot of stuff from the public and they don't tell us everything, so I'm sure there are a lot of things we don't know."

"They had been called several times because people weren't coming home from work. Who knows what would have happened if they had jumped on it? But again, we're in a suburb that things like this don't happen, so they just kind of sat back and thought, it's nothing. It's not like it's the city, where it's like, 'Oh, here goes another one.' I think they're doing the best they can, but if they have no leads at this point I would imagine - it's a dead issue. I don't think they'll find them."

"I don't know what they had to go through at the scene, but it seems like they tried to do everything they could to find out who did this. I think if there was any shred of evidence they probably would have gotten somewhere by now. I think they are doing the best job that they can. I think they want to find the murderer or murderers just as much as everyone else wants them to be found. If pressure is what could solve the case, they would have had it solved by now."

"I think they are forgetting everything. They aren't working hard to find the people who killed all those people over there. I don't hear anything now about it. You see the evening news and you don't see anything about that anymore. I don't know how they work."

"If they don't have anything, how do they find anything? I think in this search they've got to keep going. I guess, just keep looking. Probably (continue) what they've been doing by following their leads. What else can they do? I think they've done all they can."
