Victims' families schedule visitations, funeral services

Funeral services for five of the seven Brown's Chicken & Pasta employees killed at the Palatine restaurant have been scheduled throughout the week.
Visitation for Michael Castro, 16, and Rico L. Solis, 17 - both Palatine High School students - will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p m. Tuesday at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.
A Mass will be said for Solis, of Arlington Heights, at 10 a.m. Saturday at St Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road. Burial will take place at All Saints Cemetery & Mausoleum in Des Plaines.
A Mass will be said for Castro at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Palatine Castro, who was from Palatine, will be buried at All Saints Cemetery & Mausoleum.
Visitation for Thomas Mennes, 32, of Palatine, will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home. Mass will be said for Mennes at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 1152 E Anderson Drive, Palatine.
A memorial service for Lynn A. Ehlenfeldt, 49, and her husband, Richard E Ehlenfeldt, 50 - the owners of the restaurant - will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kingswood United Methodist Church, 410 W Dundee Road in Buffalo Grove. The Ehlenfeldts lived in Arlington Heights. No visitation for the couple has been scheduled.
Pastor Bill Bryan of the First United Methodist Church of Palatine said Guadeloupe Maldonado's brother, Pedro Maldonado, is trying to raise funds to ship the body of his brother to Mexico for burial.
Guadeloupe Maldonado, 47, arrived from Mexico around Christmas and had worked at the restaurant for only two weeks.
Details of funeral service arrangements for Marcus Nellsen, 31, of Palatine could not be obtained Sunday night.
