On Saturday, May 11th, the Dow Jones and the Industrials played to a sold out crowd at ‘the Listening Room’ at Lakeside Legacy Foundation in Crystal Lake, IL. The Dow Jones and the Industrials are the veritable Who’s Who in the Crystal Lake area. The Dow Jones and the Industrials is a local band featuring the talents of Chuck Stevens, J.T. Wheeler, Wenzel Rossler, Penny Johns-Thompson, and Bob Blazier. Marti Bonne the pianist from Together Again and Geoff Demuth a pedal steel guitar player sat in with the band.

Record Crowds at the May 3rd First Friday at Lakeside Legacy Foundation in Crystal Lake, ILMay 13, 2013 12:00 AM
The first Friday of every month is the First Friday gallery event at Lakeside Legacy Foundation in Crystal Lake, IL. The May 3rd event featured student artwork from the Crystal Lake D47 schools and students of Creative Artistry School of Fine Arts, and had record attendance of over 200 guests. Guests enjoyed art, free appetizers and participated in coloring, origami, and face painting. Music at the event was provided by teachers and student musicians from D47 school choirs and two groups from the McHenry County Youth Orchestra.
Historical society to plaque Crystal Lake house May 13, 2013 12:00 AM
The McHenry County Historical Society Committee will hold a plaque ceremony at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 18 for the Josephine and William Lorimer Jr. House at 615 Lake Ave. in Crystal Lake. The present owners, Rudolph Magnani and Lynn Lourie, have taken care in preserving and restoring this 1929 grand residence and will be awarded the plaque in a public ceremony.

The Dow Jones and the Industrials is a local band featuring the talents of Chuck Stevens, J.T. Wheeler, Wenzel Rossler, Penny Johns-Thompson, Marti Bonne, and Bob Blazier. Tickets are $10 a seat for the 7:30 p.m. concert on May 11th. Doors are at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11th. A cash bar is also available.
