Kane County Auditor Terry Hunt is a step closer to being re-elected Kane County auditor, with a strong win Tuesday in the Republican primary. The Sugar Grove resident got 59 percent of the votes compared to 41 percent for Craig Lee, of Geneva, according to unofficial Kane County election results.
Russell wins Kane County coroner race, will face Martinez in November

It was deja vu for Kane County voters Tuesday as unofficial results indicated incumbent Kane County Coroner Rob Russell defeated fellow GOP challenger Bob Tiballi in a rematch from three years ago. Russell will try to make history repeat itself again in a November rematch with Democrat Tao Martinez.
