Woodland Elementary West Recognizes Its ROAR Students for February

Gages Lake--Woodland Elementary West would like to recognize the following students for becoming ROAR Kids. Students selected as ROAR Kids demonstrated Taking Ownership during the month of February in a variety of ways throughout the school. The students will be formally recognized during the ROAR assembly later this month.

ROAR is part of the district-wide behavioral framework, Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), theme. ROAR represents Respect, Ownership, Acceptance and being Ready to learn (ROAR). This is the seventh year Woodland Elementary West has implemented PBIS.

"We are honored to acknowledge our West students who have made positive choices in and out of the classroom. By displaying ROAR values, we hope our students become role models at home and in their communities. We encourage all of our West students to show their ROAR values as they try their best each day," said Kristi Blasius, Assistant Principal of Elementary West School.
