Local AAUW to host 'Women of Courage Tea' March 3

The American Association of University Women Batavia-Geneva-St. Charles branch invites the community to its annual "Women of Courage Tea" from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the Dunham Woods Riding Club at 33W33 Army Trail Road, Wayne. It will feature speaker Irina Zlatogorova.

The event is open to the public, and reservations are now being accepted.

Zlatogorova, who has managed billions for American businesses and numerous projects for Fortune 500 companies, was born in the former Soviet Union. When she emigrated to the U.S. at age 20 in search of the American dream, she spoke no English, but has since achieved remarkable success in the business world. Zlatogorova holds an MBA from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb and is pursuing a Ph.D.. Her talk will share her journey.

The tea includes delicate pastries and finger sandwiches served in the Riding Club's elegant setting.
