Apply now for St. Charles Women's Club scholarship
The St. Charles Women's Club is now taking applications for the 2018 Sherry Costello Memorial Scholarship Award.
One of many ways that St. Charles Women's Club supports our community is by offering scholarship opportunities to women. Historically, this award was given to women who were enrolled in a college degree program to better themselves and/or their families. For the 2017-18 club year, they have expanded that to include not only women pursuing higher education degrees, but also to female college-bound high school seniors.
Scholarship applications are carefully considered and all winners are determined based on financial need and academic merit. Each award has historically ranged from $500 to $4,000, based on club fundraising. Scholarship awards are to be used strictly for educational expenses (e.g. tuition, books, and fees). All funds awarded will be sent directly to each award winner's high school, college or university.
Eligibility requirements include: female student enrolled in a high school within the St. Charles Unit District 303 boundaries or an adult female with dependent children living or working within the District 303 boundaries, demonstrating financial need and enrolled in a degree program.
