Cary Park District to host preschool open house

If you are interested in registering your child for preschool for the 2018-19 school year, the Cary Park District will host a Preschool Preview from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at the Cary Park District Preschool, 1180 Silver Lake Road in Cary.

During the open house, visitors can meet the teachers, tour the classrooms and receive program and registration information.

"The Preschool Preview provides parents and children with the opportunity to learn more about the Cary Park District Preschool," says Erica Hall, program manager. "Teachers will be available to answer questions about the program and children are welcome to explore our classrooms."

The Cary Park District Preschool creates a positive, sensitive, and responsive environment to help children feel valued and grow with each learning experience. Through developmentally appropriate activities, the teachers foster physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth while promoting a lifetime love of learning.

Programs offered in the 2018-19 school year include morning classes for 3- to 5-year-olds. Resident registration begins Monday, Jan. 22. Nonresident registration begins Monday, Feb. 5.
