Aurora benefit for immigrant legal clinics set for Sunday

Northern Illinois Justice for Our Neighbors, immigrant advocacy volunteers, will hold a sixth annual fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, at Two Brothers Roundhouse, 205 N. Broadway in Aurora. The public is invited. "Be a Champion for Justice!" is the theme.

Northern Illinois Justice for Our Neighbors sponsors free, monthly, immigration legal clinics at Methodist churches in Aurora, Rockford and Chicago.

Benefit highlights include unlimited appetizers, cash bar, music, and silent auction including two tickets to "Hamilton," the award-winning musical.

At 5:30 p.m., Northern Illinois Justice for Our Neighbors will present the 2017 Champions for Justice award to Sara Dady, immigration attorney and NIJFON board member, and Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, an advocacy organization.

Tickets are $60 for individuals, $240 for a table of four and $480 for a table of eight.

Tickets will be available at the door or online at nijfon.networkforgood.com.
