Mutual Ground gets grant from local foundation

Mutual Ground Inc. is pleased to announce the notification of a grant award from the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley in the amount of $18,050.

This approved grant will allow Mutual Ground to make much needed repairs to the roof at their shelter and offices.

"On behalf of Mutual Ground and its board of directors, I would like to thank the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley for their recent grant for roof repairs at our facility," said Michelle Meyer, executive director. "Mutual Ground serves hundreds of area residents who have experienced domestic or sexual violence, including more than 200 women and children who reside at our shelter annually.

"In order for Mutual Ground to better serve our clients through shelter, counseling, and other means of support, these roof repairs are a necessity," Meyer said.

Mutual Ground has been providing education, awareness, and life-changing services that empower individuals, families, and communities to end the cycle of domestic and sexual violence for more than 42 years. The agency serves southern Kane and all of Kendall County. To learn more about Mutual Ground, visit www.mutualground.org or www.facebook.com/mutualground/.
