Learn about Gaslight Era murderers June 25 at Gail Borden

Get to know some Gaslight Era serial killers as well as scoundrels and murderers when true crime author Rich Lindberg brings tales of terror to Gail Borden Public Library at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 25.

Lindberg will introduce you to the original "Devil in the While City" H.H. Holmes as well as matrimonial swindlers and murderers Johann Hoch and Belle Gunness, Lizzie Borden of Fall River, Massachusetts, and Amy Archer Gilligan, the black widow who inspired the play and movie, "Arsenic and Old Lace."

Author of several books about Chicago history and sports, including "The Gambler King of Clark Street: Michael C. McDonald and the Rise of the Chicago's Democratic Machine," Lindberg will discuss stories from his book "Heartland Serial Killers." Book sales and signing will take place.
