Des Plaines arts, vendor show to benefit drug recovery organizations

An arts and vendor show Saturday in Des Plaines will benefit drug and alcohol prevention and recovery programs.

The "Charity Arts and Crafts and Vendor Show" is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 50 W. Oakton St.

Admission is free, and proceeds will go to the Maine Community Youth Assistance Foundation based at Maine South High School in Park Ridge and The Last Chance House in Crystal Lake.

The event features homemade candles, teacups, wreaths, paintings, jewelry, watches, skin care products and other items. Vendors will include Scentsy, Avon, LuLaRoe and others.
