Adopt-a-Road at Volo Bog
Volunteers are sought to keep Brandenburg Road near Volo Bog beautiful. Adults and kids 10 or older with a responsible adult can participate in the Adopt-a-Road program from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on the third Wednesday of the month. The next sessions are May 24, June 21 and July 19. Equipment is provided. Registration is requested at (815) 344-1294. New volunteers must register and arrive by 8:45 a.m. for paperwork and safety orientation. Sessions will be rescheduled if weather is undesirable. The Volo Bog State Natural Area is at 28478 W. Brandenburg Road, Ingleside.
