Kaneland Unit District 302 has an exciting opportunity for the youngest learners within the community. The Early Childhood Center at Blackberry Creek Elementary School is completing its first year with blended early childhood classrooms.
The district is looking to expand the center next school year. This program is for all preschool-aged children (3- and 4-year-olds). It will be staffed with highly qualified early childhood teachers. This program will run Monday-Thursday. Transportation will be the parent's responsibility. There will be two morning sections (8:50-11:15 a.m.) and two afternoon sections (12:50-3:20 p.m.). Starting Feb. 27, 2017, you will also be able to find the registration packets online in any Kaneland school's virtual backpack.
The deadline to register for this program will be Friday, March 17. If there is more applicants than space, they will hold a lottery the week of March 20 to fill up to 40 openings for next school year.
All applicants will be notified of their status the week of March 20, 2017. In the case that you are placed in the program for the 2017-18 school year, the anticipated fees will be one-month of tuition ($250) and a one-time registration fee ($135).
The total payment will be $385, which includes the May 2018 tuition. Payment must be received by May 1, 2017 to secure your child's placement.
Students accepted will need to pay $250 a month tuition to remain in the program from September-April of next school year. Visit kbcpto.org/early-childhood-blended-classes/.
