Chicago Cubs Trophy Tour coming to Gail Borden Feb. 12

The Cubs Trophy Tour, presented by State Farm, is coming to Elgin, giving fans the opportunity to see and take photos with the 2016 World Series Trophy. The trophy will be on display 10 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at Gail Borden Public Library, 270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin.

Fans can follow the Cubs on Twitter and Instagram (@Cubs) for specific updates on the Cubs Trophy Tour using the #CubsTrophyTour hashtag.

Team updates and fans' social media posts are also available at www.cubs.com/trophytour, along with a tentative schedule, highlights and more information about the World Series Trophy.

"We are so excited," said Carole Medal, executive director at Gail Borden Public Library. "This is a home run for the community and the library. Go Cubs go!"

Gail Borden Public Library has served Elgin and the surrounding area for more than 140 years and is proud to host the 2016 World Series Trophy. It is the first library in Illinois to do so.
