Boy Scout Troop 2 to host pancake breakfast Jan. 14
It's time for Boy Scout Troop 2's 42nd annual all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 115 N. Spring St. in Elgin.
The menu includes sausage, a variety of eggs, French toast, fry bread, toast, and pancakes. Two juices, coffee, tea and milk compliment the delicious food. After 40 years of hosting the breakfast, you know our Scout cooks have figured out how to get it right!
Cost is $7, $5 for seniors, age 60 or older, and $25 for families (immediate family members). Kids under age 5 eat free. Members of a police, fire department or a branch of the armed services that show up in uniform are half price. Tickets are available at the door.
