'Star Wars' exhibit to open Nov. 22 at Gail Borden

Gail Borden Public Library, 270 N. Grove Ave. in Elgin, will host "Star Wars: The Nostalgia Awakens Vintage Toy Exhibit" from Nov. 22 to Dec. 30.

The exhibit features every action figure toy made by Kenner from 1978 to 1985 based on the original three "Star Wars" movies, "Star Wars," "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi."

It includes 100 action figures, three larger creatures, 19 vehicles and 13 play sets and more. See the Millennium Falcon spaceship and Death Star play set.

Jarrod Roll, owner of the Star Wars Vintage Toy Exhibit, will talk about "Star Wars" and its impact on the toy industry as well as collecting vintage toys from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22. He will talk about his collection on the second floor, where it will be on display. No registration is required.
